The Virtual Ecological Museum of the Blue Whale is an educational tool designed to support teachers at all levels in teaching topics related to the Loreto Bay ecosystem, the blue whale and marine conservation.
Among the available (and under development) resources are:
- Teaching guides to work on concepts such as food chains, marine ecosystems, conservation and scientific research methods in the classroom.
- Activities for different educational levels, from primary school to university.
- Suggestions for integrating the virtual museum into school projects, field trips and citizen science activities.
Some resources may be available only to registered users, in order to facilitate their use in educational institutions and workshops.
The goal is for the museum to be a bridge between the research conducted in Loreto and classrooms, helping to form new generations aware of the importance of the Gulf of California and the blue whale.
